When I
first made turmeric tea I did not like it, because the recipe I used read just
mix in milk and it’s ready to drink. Yuck! This is a good tasting recipe
Turmeric Tea, Golden Milk
2 cups milk
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp ginger root powder
1 tsp honey
a pinch of black pepper
Put all ingredients in a saucepan. Heat till almost a boil, then simmer for 10-15 minutes. Be careful not to let the milk boil over. Strain then drink.
Adding
the black pepper to turmeric helps it to become more bioavailable. Just like taking
vitamin D to help your calcium intake.
